Project 1
Textile Print
Chelsea College of Art and Design, The University of The Arts, London

Title:
Porte de Vincennes
Date:
Autumn/Winter 2007
Design Summary
During my degree course, I was fortunate enough to be selected to participate in the EU programme Erasmus for 3 months of my studies.
Whilst studying at École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs (ENSAD) I began developing this textile print collection to be sold at Premier Vision in 2008.
My inspiration came one day whilst leaving my local metro. Workmen were replacing the advertisements in the metro station and in doing so revealed some old posters, torn and full of interesting typographies and prints.

Project 2
Textile Dyeing

Title:
Eclectic Geometric
Date:
Spring/Summer 2008
Design Summary
Created using resist techniques and discarded pieces of wood, this collection was designed for the second year fashion show. This collection was inspired by experimental Theatre of The Bauhaus and architectural photography.

Project 3
Textile Dyeing and Printing

Title:
Evolve
Date:
Autumn/Winter 2008
Design Summary
For a WGSN project, I created a range of textile samples using reclaimed silk and polyester fabrics, natural dyes, pigment and sublimation prints.

Project 4
Textile Print+

Title:
Every Cloud
Date:
Spring/Summer 2009
Design Summary
Every Cloud was my final year project, inspired by industrial, mechanical and functional objects from The Welcome Collection, London.
Using reclaimed materials and employing simple, low impact techniques, I moulded, sculpted, and decorated forms for my final year pieces. This was as a result of my research on peak oil and the impact of materials in the textile industry for my dissertation.
